We had a good turnout and everyone had loads of fun biking out to the Fells, hiking a bit, enjoying the gorgeous view of the city, and playing on the frozen pond. To cap off a great day, we stopped in Harvard Square for hot chocolate on the way back to BU.

Success!

Outing Club'ers!

For those who are bummed about missing next weekend's cabin trip, there's still a chance to set up your tents and break in your sleeping bags.

If you haven't already heard about the Sleep-Out campaign, here's the scoop: students and community members in coalition with the Students for a Sustainable Future gather at various locations across Massachusetts to advocate towards a stabilization of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere at 350 Parts Per Million (PPM). The ultimate goal is to push Governor Patrick to introduce a bill and for the state legislature to pass a bill that would move our planet back towards 350PPM and Massachussetts towards 100% Clean Electricity by 2020.

During the week, student groups will be sleeping out at the GSU (except for Sundays, where we all go out to the Boston Commons...) Here's a chance to combine the Outing Club spirit with environmental advocacy. Those who support the cause are encouraged to join their fellow students on campus.
